1953 Florin with large reverse denticles PCGS MS64
There are two types of 1953 florin: one has small-toothed reverse denticles, while the other has larger-toothed denticles on the reverse. The type with the large denticles is the scarcer type, with perhaps one in four 1953 florins exhibiting the variety. The coin photographed above is the equal-finest example I’ve seen; (the other three examples on the market in 2013 and 2014 were also graded MS64 with PCGS). Scarce this nice, and one for the variety collector. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
