1942 Melbourne Shilling PCGS MS63
I don’t remember the last time I had a Mint State 1942 Melbourne shilling in stock, and according to my records, I haven’t had one listed on the website since November 2011. PCGS has graded only 20 examples of this date, compared with 33 examples of both the 1940 shilling and the 1946 Perth shilling, the two key dates (2/14). This is one of those dates that collectors seemed to have overlooked. A real sleeper, in my view. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
