Each of these **Peace Silver Dollars** have been certified and graded **Mint State 63** by either PCGS or NGC (our choice) and contain approximately 0.77345 troy ounces of pure silver. Dates are random and will range from 1922-1935. Possible mints are D, P & S. The **Peace dollar** is a United States 90% Silver Dollar coin minted from 1921 to 1928, and again in 1934 and 1935. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the coin was the result of a competition to find designs symbolic of peace. The reverse depicts a Bald Eagle resting on an olive branch, with the the word “Peace” displayed below it. The sculptor’s wife Teresa served as the model for the portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse wearing a radiate crown meant to call to mind the Statue of Liberty. The Peace Dollar came about when Numismatists wanted a coin memorializing the peace that followed World War I and managed to persuade government officials to take action. It was approved by Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon in December 1921, and became the last United States dollar coin to be struck for circulation in silver. Peace dollars were minted in Denver (D mint mark), Philadelphia (no mint mark), and San Francisco (S). Peace dollars were minted containing 0.77345 troy ounces of silver, each comprised of 90% silver and 10% copper. **Buying Gold And Silver Coins With BGASC Is Convenient And Secure** BGASC is Fast, Reliable, and Trusted.
