1930 Perth Sovereign PCGS MS65
While we’ve handled several 1931P sovereigns in PCGS MS65, the coin photographed here is the first 1930P sovereign we’ve offered in that grade. From a north-west Sydney collection, the coin was obtained raw from a Sydney coin dealer over ten years ago, and subsequently graded MS65. To this day, it is still in the top three of all 1930P sovereigns certified by PCGS (6/23), despite 139 examples being graded by them across all grades. The coin itself is flashy, with full cartwheel lustre, clean fields, and an above-average strike. If you’re a Perth sovereign collector seeking a superior Perth sovereign from the penultimate year, or are simply a sophisticated sovereign collector looking for a new acquisition in superior grade, this is your coin. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
